Board of Directors Biography

Thomas A. Leonard currently serves as chairman of the Delaware Valley Real Estate Investment Fund and chairman of the board of directors of Permalith Plastics. Mr. Leanord also serves on the board of directors for Independence Blue Cross, U.S. Facilities, Pennsylvania Business Bank, Hahnemann Hospital, The World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, The World Affairs Council and CORA Services, Inc.

Mr. Leonard is a partner with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He has comprehensive experience in business and complex commercial litigation. His law practice concentrates in the areas of antitrust, construction litigation, mergers and acquisitions, environmental matters, health care representation, and commercial, administrative and regulatory issues. Prior to joining Obermayer in 1992, Mr. Leonard was a partner and co-chairman of the Litigation Department at Dilworth Paxson Kalish & Kauffman and a permanent member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Leonard served as the Controller for the City of Philadelphia. Between the years 1993 and 1998, he served on the Board of Directors for the Federal National Mortgage Association, now known as Fannie Mae. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
Mr. Leonard received his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He was later awarded his Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law, where he served as the editor of the Temple Law Quarterly.
